CEB chairman asks PBJ how to calculate tariff reduction

Ceylon Electricity Board Chairman W.D. Ganegala has written and asked Treasury Secretary P.B. Jayasundare how the 25 percent reduction
of the electricity tariff should be calculated.

"The president had announced, when opening the second phase of the Norochcholai Coal Power Plant on September 16, that the tariffs would be reduced by 25 percent."

 

According to CEB sources he had received no reply up to last evening.The president had announced, when opening the second phase of the Norochcholai Coal Power Plant on September 16, that the tariffs would be reduced by 25 percent.
