UNF decides to support the Government

  • UNF will support to implement the pledges of Govertment
  • Providing Fertilizer free of charge for Paddy farmers 
  • Reduction of Taxes 

 

UNF  Parliamentary Group which met yesterday had decided to support the progressive steps that are taken by the government for the betterment of the country.  
 
UNP MPs Kavinda Jayawardene and Mujibur Rahaman said the UNP group decided to support the government in fulfilling the pledges which President Gotabaya Rajapaksa pledged in his manifesto. “We have decided to support the government in implementing pledges such as providing fertilizer free of charge to paddy farmers and reduction of taxes. Meanwhile MP Harsha De Silva twitted saying that Sajith Premadasa addressed the MPs for the first time as the Leader of the Opposition at yesterday’s group meeting where he had pledged to build a strong opposition which would play a constructive role in safeguarding democracy.   


Also Mr. Premadasa has pledged to strengthen the powers of legislature,
