Two underworld gang members including a gangster known as “Anamalu Ranga” were hacked to death during a clash that erupted near the Madampitiya Cemetery in Grandpass yesterday, Police Spokesman Ruwan Gunasekera said.

He said the two victims were killed by a rival group of criminals who arrived in a three-wheeler around 4 p.m yesterday.

They were assaulted while participating at a funeral.

The victims succumbed to the injuries after being admitted to the National Hospital, SP Gunasekara said.
