The National Water Supply and Drainage Board (NWSDB) said yesterday the supply of drinking water would have to be restricted because the prevailing drought had dried up the water sources in most parts of the country.
It said in a statement that the supply of drinking water would have to be restricted in this situation and that the water supply to hilly areas will be under low pressure.
NWSDB requested people to use water sparingly in these difficult times.
