The 13th Amendment to the Constitution is likely to be discussed during the visit to Sri Lanka by Indian Foreign Minister, Dr. Subrahmanyam Jaishankar.
Diplomatic sources in New Delhi told the Daily Mirror that Jaishankar will meet Tamil political leaders during his three-day visit to Colombo.
Sources said that he is expected to have talks with the Tamil National Alliance and other Tamil leaders.
The Tamil leaders will raise concerns over recent comments made by some Ministers who have opposed the full implementation of the 13th Amendment to the Constitution.
Some Ministers have also called for the Provincial Council system to be abolished.
