A tank is being dug up in Thalawathugoda to prevent floods in the area in the future. This project to build 10 tanks to avoid floods in and around Colombo is being carried out by the UDA. Pic By Nislal Baduge

This may urn out 2 B a breeding ground for garbage & mosquitoes. Out irresponsible citizens would dump the place within few days. The best way 2 cope with the matter is create artificial wetlands that way we can help a conservation effort as well
