Midwives’ peace walk

All Ceylon Health Service Union organized a peace walk to Temple Trees to hand over a message urging the government to equalize the professional standards of the midwives to that of the nurses. Police brought the walk to a halt that started from Town Hall to temple trees today. Pics by Kushan Pathiraja

How com Nurses and midwife in similar standard. Training period and nature of training are difference.

Only Srilanka having midwives & attendant categories, other countries all nurses duty. Even patient taken to toilet is nurse duty. Authorities can develop the subject knowlege & give a graduation salary.
