The traditional flag blessing ritual of the Sri Lanka Army was held today at the Sacred Sri Maha Bodhiya in Anuradhapura. The flag blessing ceremony was organized to coincide with the 61st anniversary of the Sri Lankan Army which falls on the 10th of October. Over 480 flags belonging to various divisions of the Army was blessed in this manner. Pix by Pradeep Dilrukshana
Flags are made by ordinary cloth. Does the Buddhist philosophy say that you can pray for flags. As a matter of fact pray for anything. For a start read the Dhammapada.

Let us conveniently forget all the divisional and regional commanders, joint chiefs, the navy and the air force.
Also who cares about the political leadership that held the line against all the ceasefire and peace talks pressures ? Not us, we are with sf...
And lastly what the hell did defence secretary do right ? I mean he only just coordinated the whole war, and was the main link between political leadership and the military. But lets not care about that either. Because SF did all the work.
SF did so much work, let us all forget the blasphemous comments he made about our troops and the defence secretary in a very difficult and dangerous time. Well, it only put Sri Lanka in a very difficult position globally. But what does that matter. SF can say anything he wants, because he won the war single handedly... right ?
