Suresh Subramaniam, the Vice President of the Sri Lanka Tennis Association, was on Friday elected as the President of the National Olympic Committee of Sri Lanka (NOCSL), beating Rohan Fernando of the Amateur Rowing Association of Sri Lanka 18 votes to 12. This was the first NOCSL election since 2009, and Subramaniam replaces Hemasiri Fernando, who held the top post for 21 years. Pix by Samantha Perera
