Standard Chartered Group Global Chief Executive Bill Winters was on an official visit to Sri Lanka recently. He was the first global CEO of Standard Chartered Bank to visit Sri Lanka despite the bank been in operation here since 1892.
He expressed keen interest to bring innovative financing solutions to the government’s infrastructure plan in Sri Lanka.
He was accompanied by Standard Chartered Regional CEO ASEAN and South Asia Ajay Kanwal.
The delegation met Minister Malik Samarawickrama at the Development Strategies and International Trade Ministry and held discussions.
