‘idea2fund’, a venture challenge platform powered by MTI Corporate Finance, concluded the first round of presentations at Hilton Colombo Hotel recently.
The concept presentations from the first wave of ‘idea2fund’ included 60 shortlisted business ideas which were presented to the judging panel. The first round consisted of the entrepreneur’s presenting on the concept behind their idea and assessing the validity of the concept and opportunity.
The judging panel for this round was MTI’s international Consultants including Hilmy Cader, MTI Global CEO, from whom the aspiring entrepreneurs received constructive feedback on their venture ideas.
The two day judging sessions encompassed an array of presentations from various domains ranging from agriculture, education, fashion, financial services, ICT to logistics and other ventures.
“The concepts presented were well thought out and truly inspiring. Currently all presentations are being evaluated and we are in the process of further shortlisting the participants, who will progress to the next round of the commercial presentations which is scheduled to be held by the end of April” said Mr. Hilmy Cader, CEO of MTI Consulting.
