The Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) yesterday said trading hours would be extended to 2:30 p.m., with effect from today, with pre-open sessions from 10:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and open auction starting from 11:00 a.m.

The CSE said the decision to extend trading hours was taken with the government announcing that the curfew would be effective from 10:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m. daily, in all districts, with effect from today.

The CSE also said the capital market stakeholders also requested to extend trading hours in line with the
relaxation of curfew.

They should go for full trading and show confidence as do not understand why still 'hiding' behind the curfew. Is any broker/member leaving home before 4am to reach CMB? Really disappointed the excuses CSE dishing these days as no backbone
