Dynamic business leader Ishara Nanayakkara-controlled LOLC Holdings PLC today became the third US $ 1 billion company on the Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE), behind John Keells Holdings PLC and Ceylon Tobacco Company PLC.
As at yesterday’s market close, LOLC Holdings’ market capitalization was Rs.198, 277, 200, 000.00, accounting for 5.25 percent of the CSE’s total market cap.
When the Central Bank’s indicative rate of Rs.196.15 per a US dollar is applied, the market cap of LOLC Holdings amounts to US $ 1.01 billion.
LOLC Holdings share yesterday closed at Rs.417.25, up by Rs.36 or 9.44 percent. The company has 475.2 million issued shares.
