ASPI crosses 7, 000-point mark after six years

The benchmark All Share Price Index (ASPI) of the Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) surpassed the 7, 000-point mark a while ago with increased market activity in certain counters such as Browns Investments PLC and Expolanka Holdings PLC.

This was the first time ASPI crossed the 7, 000-point mark since November 24, 2015.

As at Rs.1.20 p.m. the ASPI was at 7, 011.73, up 32.87 points or 0.47 percent. The turnover was Rs.3.7billion.

ASPI crossed the 6, 000 point mark in mid-September last, year.
