Minister Wimal Weerawansa said today the recent Z- Score fiasco was not the fault of the government but instead the eminent person who devised it should take the blame.

“Who devised the Z score? It was not the ministers neither was it a decision of the cabinet. It was devised by intellectuals, therefore if something goes wrong with it why do the ministers have to be blamed? Instead it is those who devised it who should be blamed,” he said.

Speaking at a ceremony held in Moratuwa the outspoken minister said he doesn’t get involved with the duties of intellectuals or officials.

“As a minister I don’t get involved when officials or intellectuals have been faulted because I know that they won’t get involved if and when I’m at fault,” he said.
The minister said the government had to take the blame for this error unnecessarily due to the unwanted involvement by the ministers.

Dear Wimal, I am so sorry to write this, standard curves and z score was NEVER devised by Sri Lankans. It was the great mathematician Carl Friedrich Gauss of Germany a true genius, who discovered the basic theory of famous Gaussian curves and thereby the z score. If our politicians blame mathematicians it shows their true nature of lack of primary education and low IQ. And dont ever blame the great mathematicians, they are million times greater than you clan, in doing useful things during their limited lifespan.
