30-year-old shot dead in Modara

A 30-year-old man was shot dead at a house in Redbarnawatta, Modara by three men who had arrived in a three-wheeler this evening, police said.

They said the victim had succumbed to injuries after he was admitted to the Colombo National Hospital.

“The victim, who was arrested and remanded on charges of murder, had been released a few days ago,” police said.

They said the victim, who was a resident of Grandpass, had been living with a woman in Modara where he was shot at.

Investigations are being carrying out by the Modara Police and no arrests have been made yet.
