Video: Viharamahadevi Park: Use it wisely

Colombo Municipality Land and Environmental Development Director Lalith Wickramaratne said yesterday that the Viharamahadevi Park which was closed last month for renovations is now opened for the public.

He advised visitors to be on the watch out because some repair work was still continuing.

Mr. Wickramaratne said the park has a new look after it was upgraded and renovated and advised visitors to behave in a sensible manner because a lot of children were visiting it daily.

He warned that legal action would be taken against those who misbehave inside the park, those who damage any equipment or those who engrave their names on trees. (Tex and Vdeo by Sanath Desmond)

correct.....I just entire video to see some change. but I could not see anything other than some lights......poor job! you should have to talk Gota.....I'm not one of his supporters. But he has done few fantastic jobs already....We have to accept it.

their is international system for play ground for children and health and safty regulation should be followed if you go look closely the edges of sitting area and the platforms are not up to the stanerd gooole is see how children play grounds are you will see lot of mistakes how its built.and the food what is being sold next to the park not hygine.
