george I totally agree with your comment.That was a well organised drama with the famous crook mervin silva and his notorios son.(See the interview with camaramen) m. silva is not worried at all, he is very calm and relaxed,he doesn`t need police assistant to investigate the incident aswell. Unfortunetly,sinhala modayas in srilanka believe all these stories.

How do you know there were 12 people?. If one could count the number , it would be easier to identify one person instead. My question : is there any need to have 12 men to attack this timid fellow? who is protected on the expense of tax payers money.

And Mervin has promised that he'll take care of the culprits himself, and that there is no need for the police or the justice system. This comes from a cabinet minister, and this strips the govt. naked who "TALKS BIG" about the 'EQUAL APPLICABILITY" law and order. I wish our legal system contains a "Good for the goose is good for the gander" law. Or, we perhaps need the Sharia law - eye for eye and tooth for tooth.
