Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK) leader Thol Thirumavalavan said they would stage a protest in Chennai on tomorrow against Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapakse addressing the U.N. General Assembly.

He said the Narendra Modi government was against Eelam Tamils. “Prior to the Lok Sabha elections, it seemed a Modi government would help the Tamils get freedom. Now, it follows the policy of the Congress” that headed the ruling coalition at the Centre.

Answering a question on the Aavin milk adulteration racket, he told journalists that there was corruption in several government departments. “To check it, a Lokayukta should be formed in Tamil Nadu.”

He demanded that a Lokayukta be constituted in Tamil Nadu to curb corruption, The Hindu reported.
