UNP objections rejected

The objections filed by the UNP against the petition challenging the appointment of parliamentarian Ravi Karunanayake as UNP National Organizer by UNP Southern Provincial Councilor Maithri Gunaratne was rejected by the District Court today.

UNP Southern Provincial Councilor Maithri Gunaratne earlier filed a case challenging the UNP working committee appointment of Ravi Karunanayake as UNP National Organizer.

Gangodawila District Judge Champa Janaki Wijerathne informed the UNP to respond to the petition on the next Court date of July 28th. (Ananda Weerasuriya)
