The British Police are hunting for a convicted fraudster who has been on the run for nearly six years and officers suspect he may have returned to Sri Lanka

Sri Lankan-born Ponnutharai Suresh, who is also known as Suresh Ponnutharai, has been missing since September 2006 when he was recalled to prison.

The 34-year-old, who has links to Ealing, Harrow, and Milton Keynes, was released on licence in July 2006 after a jail term for affray and fraud.

But he was recalled to prison later that year for a breach of his license because he was wanted by police for conspiracy to steal.

He went on the run and has not been seen since despite efforts to trace him. Officers suspect he may have returned to Sri Lanka, and have appealed for any information to help find him. (Source: Harrow Times)
