Two people aged 36 and 38 were killed in a motorbike accident in Sooriyawewa last evening, police said.
They said the tragedy occurred when the motorbike they were riding crashed into the back of a lorry which was plying from Sooriyawewa to Padalangala.
The driver of the lorry was arrested in connection with the accident and he is to be produced in the Hambanthta Magistrate’s court today.
