Namal Perera Monday, 12 May 2014 11:20 AM

Where do you think the Judge will end up then? The lawless corrupt Banana Republic only serve and protect Criminals.

Ranger thomas Monday, 12 May 2014 07:22 AM

Get him to kneel in front of the teacher and ask for mercy.

    mithra Monday, 12 May 2014 07:26 AM

Thank your honour for implementing the Law of the country instead of the rule of the jungle as in some cases involving politicos.

A good lesson to other politicos who misuse their title.I also think that he should have sent to jail at least for two years, not suspended judgement.

    Dingimahattaya Monday, 12 May 2014 07:55 AM

    Gamarala Monday, 12 May 2014 08:12 AM

I don't get it. Says "rigorous imprisonment", but its suspended. Then why "rigorous"? Anyway it a good sentence to a moron.

Justice denid Monday, 12 May 2014 08:16 AM

Most people here seems not to know the law. He does not go to jail. It means for the next 7 years if he behaves well nothing will happen to him. Only if he breaks the law he will go to Jail for 2 years. Wonder of Sri Lanka. Pls understand people.

    We have kneeling judges to.

Rubert Vanderkoon Monday, 12 May 2014 08:53 AM

At last, there is some sensible judgement from the courts of law. What it proves is, there is still is hope for us!

    Anticleon Monday, 12 May 2014 01:33 PM

But this guy's photo was everywhere in Kelaniya on signboards for the opening of the highway.

Shaik Anwar Ahamath Monday, 12 May 2014 09:02 AM

At long last a sensible judgement, something rare these days.

    sobers Monday, 12 May 2014 09:10 AM

I was expecting a better punishment. Without suspension, a term of prison sentence with hard labour and penalty much more as these politicians are filthy rich.

Nihal Amarasekera Monday, 12 May 2014 09:41 AM

Why suspended? He should have been on a suspender in suspense.
