The beauty is Mr. Huzair, I presume he is still the Ambassador of Sri Lanka in Iran, is appearing for Mr. Bathiudeen. Why should he be brought down from Iran? Who pays the cost of all this? It is the poor man's money that is going to be spent to prove a notorious figure innocent.

Does anyone know the fate of the 90,000 muslims evicted from Mannar in 1990, by LTTE then giving only 24 hours notice.
Should'nt they be also resettled in their traditional home?

When Disanayka was not given a bail and send him to prison Why this man was not arrested?!!.
Calistus Jayatilleke Monday, 27 August 2012 07:22 AM
Actually, contempt of court of this nature should be a non-bailable offence and the culprit should have been jailed to teach other thug politicians too a good lesson.

The Hon Minister should confine only to commerce ministry and not permitted to meddle with reconciliation and dsvelopment in the Northern province and in particular to Mannar

Law of the country should equal to every person. This type decision should not take because peoples will not obey the law.
Basil Illangakook Monday, 27 August 2012 07:54 AM
So anyone can be accused and without a fair trail remanded. Where would justice go????????
buffaloa citizen Monday, 27 August 2012 08:02 AM
But then Lokka would have arranged everything like the way he arranged Bathiudeen to do what he has done.
kaputakukula Monday, 27 August 2012 07:56 AM
This minister violated the law with his rowdyism shaking the very foundation where the law is maintained. YET he is out on bail? Why the politicians are above the law in this country?
navi Monday, 27 August 2012 07:38 AM
Can we agree with his conduct as a minister. If the ministers are behaving like this can the government expect the general public to obay the law. This is shocking
