The lawyers’ wing of AIADMK staged a protest in front of the premier institute in Chennai on Thursday demanding the deportation of a Sri Lankan bureaucrat invited by the M S Swaminathan Research Foundation (MSSRF).
The Lankan official, I M N Chandrasiri, Deputy Director of the agriculture ministry, was among the speakers at the four-day Asia Pacific Consultation on Family Farming and Zero Hunger Challenge.
Advocates raised slogans condemning the Rajapaksa regime.
“When the entire State is on the boil over the defamatory article on CM Jayalalithaa on the Lankan Defence Ministry website, Swaminathan has invited an official from the island nation,” said R Shivashankaran, an advocate. After MSSRF officialclarified that Chandrashri had cancelled his visit a week ago, the protesters dispersed peacefully. (The Indian Express)

Knowing all these recent incidents, why do our officials wanted to visit Chen-Nai (Mad-Rascals) and get chased away. Please stop visiting TN, they are no more friends of ours. Stop importing Tamil Films too.

What is next? Self immolation? Muslims take similar actions when they see derogatory remark on Islam or Prophet. Is Jayalalitha in that category? The article for TN Tamils was of a bad taste, but I for one had a laugh. They should see similar posting in western press. Have they seen articles on Chancellor of Germany. Stop being spoilt brats and move on. There are more important issues to take note.
