One dead, 61 houses damaged in Kegalle due to strong winds

At least 61 houses were partly damaged in Yatiyanthota and Ruwanwella areas while one house was completely destroyed due to strong winds experienced this evening, the Disaster Management Centre (DMC) said.

The DMC Assistant Director Pradeep Kodippili said a 42-year old father of two was dead after a tree fell on a house.
