THIS IS A GREAT ACTION, MR.PRESIDENT. This shows why we need an Executive President. The Prime Minister will always act with an eye on protecting his parliamentary majority. His action would depend mostly on whether it would affect a person with or without parliamentary power. But the President being elected by the whole country will act independently. This is something that either Rev.Sobitha or Jayampathy does not appear to realise.

Wilpatu from my small days(I am now 63) it is a bird/animal reserved land kept for the future generation to enjoy. Now some one appropriate this land to his people.I highly appreciate and congratulate the president for action.

I was watching a news clip on this story yesterday. surprising to see the Secretary to the Ministry of Environment acting like a puppet in front of the camara in wilpattu encroached reservation. Undoubtedly he is too old for the job and President must replace him with a competent secretary to this very important ministry.
