MR orders to release arrested Indian fishermen

President Mahinda Rajapaksa has ordered to release the 29 Indian fishermen, who were arrested for entering Sri Lankan territorial waters last Sunday as a goodwill gesture, the government Information department said today.

It also said that the release of those fishermen will take place tomorrow morning.
 
Earlier, in view of the swearing-in ceremony of Narendra Modi as the Prime Minister, President Rajapaksa ordered to release all the arrested Indian fishermen.
