A very mundane finish. SL should have gone into 50 over mode immediately after tea. We could have done it.

    LongLeg Friday, 13 July 2012 03:16 AM

ignore such people who have short memories and very little knowledge on cricket. :)

Mohamed Zahid Friday, 13 July 2012 11:19 AM

yes. kula is the ideal man after mahels's departure.

the armchair critics who have not even faced a tennis ball are in full swing today i see....

    Noor Thursday, 12 July 2012 12:03 PM

Disappointing, dont undestand why they did not try for runs putting our blasters like Tissira Perera.

    anura Friday, 13 July 2012 04:05 AM

Totally dissappointing. Sl will never be the best test playing nation ever with this sort of attitude. Its not the way we do sports. Win or Loss doesnt really matter what matters most is what we do on the field. its a shame for SL Cricket. Any other test playing nation including pakistan would have won it for sure.

Cannot understand why Mahela was negative in second innings, including taking Dilhara out of attack from bowling to Akmal

    HafShaq Thursday, 12 July 2012 12:41 PM

Very dissapointed at the approach of the Sri Lankan team on day 5. Mahela could have promoted thisara and should have fought for a win. it was tame though we won the series.

    Shahin Thursday, 12 July 2012 12:46 PM

You should have won. You played better than us. Congratulations.

    Shahin Friday, 13 July 2012 04:44 AM

SL side played a better cricket , so what if in the end they could not make it. Have a heart and congratulate better playing side.

    lankaputha Thursday, 12 July 2012 01:31 PM

Time for Mahela to keep the bat in almyrah. for the last 15 innings his average is less than a baller... what is he doing ?

    Matalan Thursday, 12 July 2012 03:53 PM

Mahela's tactics were to have the tail between the legs and limp for a draw even with 6 wkts left, as series was in the bag. Aus, India and SA would never be so timid.

    Rajitha Thursday, 12 July 2012 03:51 PM

dissapointing performance. we could've easily won.

    Kasyapa Friday, 13 July 2012 07:35 AM

This is what Sanga said politics involve to the game and why he left the position Sri Lanka captaincy. Yesterday match they deliberately ended in a draw for some political reason between Pakistan Cricket board and sponsors. Sri Lanka captain is not an upright man and this is match fixing between countries.

    PRADEEP Thursday, 12 July 2012 04:51 PM

Thisara Perera and Nuwan K should have been promoted up tha order and trieifficuld to go for some quick runs .75 runs in 9 overs not that difficult

    D.K Friday, 13 July 2012 08:30 AM

Cant blame the pitch.. That was excellent batting pitch even in Day 5. Days 1,2,3 we saw the assistance to fast balling..had Dilshan played , we could hv done it...

Imran Hussein Friday, 13 July 2012 08:38 AM

So, most of the guys want a win here no matter what. That is Indian way of playing cricket, everytime Sachin goes to bat every Indian wants a century from him. Its very sad that, real Cricket is dying, thanks to IPL and other dwarf version of the game.
Sri lanka played well and fair cricket. it was a good final day.

    dd Thursday, 12 July 2012 10:55 PM

forgot his 100s in last series against England ?
