Masseuse fight in a massage clinic

A quarrel between two groups of masseuse working in a massage clinic in Mt Lavinia, led to the arrest of two women for allegedly pouring petrol on a third woman and attempting to set fire to her and also for assaulting and stabbing two other women.

Mt Lavinia chief magistrate Ranga Wimalasena remanded the two women until June 10.

The two suspects have been identified as residents of Anuradhapura and Ampara. (Suranjith Perera)

Mt. Lavinia is more dangerous than I thought: one has to be careful of the sea, then there are the touts and beggars, let's not forget that many of the establishments at Mt Lavinia are now priced for tourists who have considerable money to spend but the average local cannot any longer afford to have a decent meal there.
