This has nothing to do with Sri Lanka. Just because the CHOGM is held in SL that doesn't mean anything by boycotting. Thre are enough and more attending the conference and getting away from the meeting will not mean anything to the head of CHOGM - The Queen. Its good that Kenya is supporting the Tamils but they go nowhere.

"The government has withdrawn its membership of the British Commonwealth and decided that the Gambia will never be a member of any neo-colonial institution and will never be a party to any institution that represents an extension of colonialism,” it announced.
this is the correct stance our fools should follow.
commonwealth is a defunct organisation and irrelevant. since our English appreciating fools still go behind England, these institutions will survive, which apparently shows the 'british influence in the world map.

this is another joke of the century. as if SL will care if any African country will show up or not. obviously politically motivated by a third party to do so.

Kenya has problems with the ICC. They should join the conference in Sri Lanka and discuss this issue with the President of Sri Lanka. The president of Sri Lanka has a good relationship with the ICC and the UNURC and will sort it out. Of course the Nutty Prof can also help.

Obama will not go to Kenya where part of his own family lives because of the fact that he does not want to recognize this Kenyan President

The African States consider the Commonwealth to be a worthless organization. It is no doubt true when there is no reprimand against Nations that openly violate Commonwealth principles, Sri Lanka for example. It is better this organization is disbanded, for the simple reason that it is an appendage of the colonial past and in a way is paying homage to the Queen as past monarch of the British Empire.
