Veteran journalist D.F. Kariyakarawana, who was a former editor of Dinamina, Silumina and Janatha Newspapers, passed away this morning at the age of 94.

He was also one of the founding secretaries of the Sri Lanka Press Council.

According to his wishes, his body will be handed over to the Malabe Private Medical Institution.
