Comrade Somawansa why dont you enjoy the senior citizen benifits and allow the youngers to run the party. now JVP in the correct path. Dont disturb via DM Android App

    Ahimsa Sunday, 19 April 2015 11:39 AM

It is high time that the younger generation to demand people over an age to stand down including all the politicians an give the younger generation the opportunity to decide the future of the nation. If the learned suprime court judges have an age limit why not the politicians. Mr S. A case shall be the starting point. With all respects to the seniors they must be the consultants,

His leadership dragged this party down for more than 10 years

    liyanaarachchi Saturday, 18 April 2015 10:05 PM

You dont need to worry on somawansa. But dont make environment to leave others such as bimal. You also should be honest to the people. Somawansa will have a place to survive until his death but you will be in trouble if the voters reject you all due to dishonest behaviout

Washed up old politician who has done nothing but taught the youth revolution and bankrupt communism should go quietly,This is no news item .

What a huge loss to Sri Lanka and the JVP that Mr. Someya is leaving. Big vaccume to fill Ha Ha Ha!

    Mowsil Saturday, 18 April 2015 03:02 PM

He should not be persuaded to rejoin JVP. He was a total disaster and liability to the party. He can form his own party with old rejects like Vasu Dew G Tissa V which can be accommodated in a train compartment via DM Android App

    Mowsil Saturday, 18 April 2015 03:02 PM

He was a total liability to JVP and should not be taken back. He can take few left. old vanguards like Vasu, Dew, Vitharana and which can fill only a bus and you too can join him if you so wsih.

    ish Saturday, 18 April 2015 03:00 PM

So jvp gets funds from international organisations ?

    Mowsil Saturday, 18 April 2015 02:58 PM

The JVP should totally ignore this man.He can take only a bus load of people when he forms his new party with old rejected vanguards like Vasu, Dew, Vitharana and you too can join him.

    Tilak Saturday, 18 April 2015 10:25 AM

The actual reason to resign former leader from the JVP is different. He used to be the person who deal with collecting funds from international organizations. But now the new leader has gone to collect the funds from three different country organizations. So former do not get his share as was before.

TRUE Sam These old good for nothing codgers need to go on retirement than b a reason for more conflict among da masses. He Vasu Dinesh and ANYONE above 65 should be sent on retirement. They have LIVED their lives. If they have authority now. they would make decisions detrimental to the younger generationsometime who might have to sacrifice for their entire lives. Lets infuse new n young blood with education and not the likes of Booruwansas n racist Gommanpilas via DM Android App

de silva Saturday, 18 April 2015 01:22 PM

    MightyAnt Saturday, 18 April 2015 12:34 PM

You are over age, over the hill and over hyped. Time to say good bye or make a party with an "Old House" as a symbol. Today the whole world is moving away from Marxist ideologies as it did not work. Now you have woken up and please walk away. The JVP is presently in safe hands.

hiran gunawardena Saturday, 18 April 2015 12:27 PM

He is correct. These people are just talkers not any doers. All they doing is talking bulshit via DM Android App

    Lalith Saturday, 18 April 2015 11:49 AM

Good decision from our Comrade. Present leader s making deals with capitalists. He has got the taste of it. JVP lost the golden opportunity of becoming the strongest force to the corrupt present government. No secocond chance.RIP JVP

    abdul Saturday, 18 April 2015 11:48 AM

Mr Amarasinghe , JVP is on correct track. Do not become a joker.

    ANTON Saturday, 18 April 2015 11:48 AM

UNCLE, NOW PLEASE GO TO AN ELDERLY HOME, DO "PINAK DAHAMAK" AND STAY THERE PEACEFULLY UNTIL YOU MEET PREMEY.

    Mason Saturday, 18 April 2015 11:32 AM

JVP can do better without a guy like Somawanse. During trouble times of the party he was happily residing in UK, letting those here to face the music and get their house in order.Your wanting to form another party may be a step towards joining hands with MR.

    Henry Saturday, 18 April 2015 11:10 AM

    Shhh! Excluding Ranil..

    sam Saturday, 18 April 2015 10:57 AM

No one is indispensable in the modern world. The JVP should be smart enough to look beyond the old school leadership and bring new reforms where needed and move forward.

    M.ASHRAFF NAZIM Saturday, 18 April 2015 10:28 AM

Hope the talk between the JVP and the Former Leader Mr, Amerasinghe will not be successful and fruitful and he has already confirmed to the Media that very soon to form a New Party.
