Five persons found guilty of abducting and murdering a person, were sentenced to death by Moneragala High Court Judge Gihan Kulathunga today.

The crime had been committed in October 2002. The accused were found guilty and after a lengthy trial were sentenced by Moneragala High Court Judge a shortwhile ago.(Nayanajeewa Bandara)
