Nothing unusual, it is the norm in all Local bodies and also in the central government. People have come to accept these irregularities as part of their life and also most of the "patriots" think that the rulers are entitled to use public funds as they deem fit - even to put it in their pockets.

Does the CM thinks that by teaching these youths Korean they have a better chance in life than teaching Sinhala or English? If he so thinks (after all he is a CM) do youths in SL have a future at all?

All investigations into financial irregularities are a waste of time. All culprits laugh all the way to the bank all the time.

This is chicken feed compared to the losses at CPC CEB MIHIN RAILWAYS CTB to name a few. So action should be to reduce major losses and hold those responsible as culpable.

Shall we have a TV reality show to select in which government organization can do the most influencial financial irregularities. Friends, can you guess who will win?

Well, this is not much significant, compared to huge amount of public money swallowed by the top govt political powers...
Who is going to audit such huge abuses of public money and property? Does auditor general have the courage of auditing the "Big powers"?
Anyway, abuse of public money and property can never be accepted, whoever does it.

Why probe only the EPC, what about the other councils? Is the probe only because the CM has fallen out with the ruling party and also as a warning to others? The answer is anybodys' guess.

Can someone tell me where there are no irregularites ( of a much higher scale) in the other Govt Depts & Corporations. The bigger are easier to cover up as they are in the billions.
