Defence advisors meet Army Chief

Several foreign military officers Friday (23) morning paid courtesy calls on the Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Daya Ratnayake at the Army Headquarters.

During the same morning hours, Lieutenant Colonel Patrick Schuler, Defence Attaché Embassy of the United States of America, Captain Sumeet Kapoor, Defence Advisor to High Commission of India and Colonel Sheharyar Parvez Butt, Defence Advisor to High Commission of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan separately paid courtesy calls on the Commander of the Army and extended their best wishes on his new appointment.

During these separate interactive meetings, the army chief recalled relations that have been maintained between respective organizations and the Sri Lanka Army for years and years and highlighted the importance of further strengthening prevailing bonds of goodwill and cooperation, the Army Headquarters added.
