The Transport Ministry said today commuters who wished to complain about any shortcomings in the service provided by the SLTB could call the SLTB hotline 011-7555555 or its inspection unit or the nearest police station.
Deputy Transport Minister Rohana Dissanayake said the SLTB received more than 150 complaints a day from commuters about conductors who do not issue tickets, who do not give the proper balance, about bus conductors who misbehave and the irregularity or sudden cancellation of bus services.
“Bus commuters should direct their complaints to the authorities so as to ensure that their grievances are addressed properly and that the bus drivers and conductors are held accountable for their incompetence,” the deputy minister said.
He said the support and cooperation of commuters was essential if the service quality was to be improved. (By Olindhi Jayasundere)

From what time to what time this service is available? Will they issue a complaint number? Will they inform the complainant once an action is been taken? How this is going to work? Please explain us...

It's the private buses we need to complain about. SLTB is a hundred times better compared to them

Introducing a card system to pay bus fare will solve most of these problems.

please appoint a unit to investigate about the misconduct of private buses. These buses should follow time shedule. Some buses takes 120 minitues to travel kandy to kurunegala (40 km distance). We face severe inconvenience by this

Please start GOVERNMENT OWNED transport service like which is available even in Chennai. Really the bus service will show the beauty of our country. The private bus service will be the ugliest- reckless and having dirtiest buses mostly in the capital.
