The CID recorded a statement today from Western Provincial Councillor Mujibur Rahman regarding allegations made by some suspects that he had forced the Nolimit outlets in Wellawatte and Dehiwela to close down on June 19.

The five people who were arrested by the Police last Saturday regarding the incident had alleged that they had come from a provincial Councillor’s office in Maligawatte and this resulted in the CID summoning Mujibur Rahuman to record his statement.(Darshana Sanjeewa)
