A SMS campaign has began using news stories that have not originated from the Daily Mirror but carrying the Daily Mirror as the source. Daily Mirror would like to distance itself from these SMS’s and requests the general public to be aware of such campaign in future. (SMD)

Can't the Daily Mirror take legal action against those who originate these texts, using your name?

Editor, why can't you ask the service providers: Dialog, Mobitel, TIGO, etc., to block such texts and to provide the Daily Mirror with the numbers, so that you can sue the source? Or else request them to cancel those connections for using the Daily Mirror's name, fraudulently!
