Video: Basil Rajapaksa arrested

Former Economic Development Minister Basil Rajapaksa, former Secretary of the Ministry Nihal Jayatilake and former Divineguma Fund Director General R.R.K. Ranawaka were arrested a short while ago.

He is to be produced in the Kaduwela Magistrate Courts shortly.

    Very good move. We all know what the Rajapakshas did. However, even criminals need to be treated humanly and given their chance in court. Let the legal process take over now and if they are proven guilty, lock them up for good. If not set them free.

    Each and every one destroyed this country must punished one or other day...when they are power they use public money as there family property. people who never think about accountablity and use to impunity must live rest of there life behind the...i pray...this arrest is not just a drama, since he came, give him up hope non of new ministers promise fast release him on friendship or exchange of percentage... pls make sure serious court case will follow and rest of the clowns too will arrested soon. there money will bring back and used for the public welfare..
