These type of news items hardly receive the attention they deserve. Only 539 views so far! Had it been something of useless Dr Silva or a matter about Pornography or prostitution, hits galore. What a country Sri Lanka is! The least interested in its young.

These children's homes and orphanages have become hunting grounds for Paedophiles - both clergy and laymen - who masquarade as philonthropists and guardian angels. In fact, they are no different to the tourists who flock to Hikkaduwa in search of beach boys.

It is very easy for those who run the place to take advantage of the innocent kids who is there due to a drama in life. Some girl’s children homes administrators are men and there are teenagers. Some may be abusing the kids and make use of the goods they receive for the kids from public. This is a very serious issue and whatever happens in these places will keep a very bad memory with the kid and that effect will never go away. I hope GOSL will take measures and do it like the developed countries. Very sad.
