The United National Party (UNP) yesterday urged the government to grant a dole to those who are engaged in daily odd jobs as they are the ones who are mostly affected by the crisis brought on by the spread of COVID-19. "A dole has to be paid for those who depend on daily odd jobs as they cannot engage in any work in the prevailing situation," UNP Secretary Akila Viraj Kariyawasam said speaking at a press conference. "Those who engaged in odd jobs on a daily basis cannot find work in the prevailing situation. We would have given an allowance to the helpless if we were in office," he added. (Yohan Perera

I am only imagining how this crisis would be handled if you were in office

Why don't you help and give back the billions (in terms of US Dollars) you ROBBED from the country over the last 5 years of your so called "good governance". Your buddy Rajitha and the paddy field marshal are spreading facebook "facts" (made by own UNPers/telephone boys) to create chaos and panic. How can the economy be protected when you keep blocking the budget vote? How can the economy be protected when you keep calling for a "lock down". You filth keep calling for a so called "lock down" NOT to protect people but to cause economic collapse just so you have something to use as a election tool. It is truly disgusting how you are trying to take advantage of this crisis. Just imagine the situation if YOU lot were in power and Rajitha was the health minister.
