Two persons had been arrested by the Beruwala Police for attempting to buy polling cards in Beruwala, Police said.

Residents had informed the Police that four men who had arrived in a car were attempting to buy official polling cards for Rs. 5,000 each last night.

Accordingly, the Police had arrested two suspects.

“However, the other two suspects have fled the scene and one of the suspects is said to be a former Secretary of a Minister,” Police said.

The Police also recovered Rs. 38,000 in cash from the suspect’s possession.

Yes we believe the bullshit, people who came to buy the polling cards had 38,000/= with them. At 5,000/= a piece, would six cards make any difference ? Never seen or heard of any place on this planet that so many lies being publish in news media.
