The transfer of seventy two police OICs has been suspended until further notice by the National Police Commission (NPC), Police said.
The transfers had been made with immediate effect based on service requirements.

Why not all the Police transfers go through NPC in the first place?

OIC transfers not coming under the purview of NPC. But when PMSD OIC was transfered during the MR tenure, independent NPC hurriedly requested to cancel the transfer, for which they did not have authority and IGP obeyed. But recently when RWs OIC PMSD transfered NPC did not say any thing.
