The Covid-19 death toll in the country rose to 140 with three more patients being reported dead due to the virus.
According to the Government Information Department, three males aged 98, 80 and 71 are among the victims.
They are residents of Kotte, Kahathuduwa and Maggona.
All succumbed to the virus at the Homagama Base Hospital.
The 98-year-old and 71-year-old males died due to Covid-19 related pneumonia while another male passed away following kidney failure with Covid-19 infection. (Sheain Fernandopulle)
