Three people were killed and another two injured when a three-wheeler and a tipper truck collided head-on at Lunama in Humgama on the Colombo - Kataragama main road early this morning, Police said.
They said the driver of the three-wheeler and another four including two children who were in the three-wheeler were admitted to the Hambantota Hospital following the accident. The victims aged between 19 and 40, residents of Ambalangoda were succumbed to their injuries while the children were undergoing treatment at the Hospital.
The Hungama police arrested the driver of the tipper truck in connection with the accident.

90 % of both trucks and three-wheeler drivers are just obtaining their driving / riding licenses with no proper educational background. So their thinking abilities are very poor and that is why we see lots of fatal motor accidents involving these two types of vehicles.
