Samagi Jana Balawegaya will come forward against every move to betray people's sovereignty, well-being, their pride under the cover of the current COVID-19 pandemic, Leader of Opposition Sajith Premadasa said yesterday.
Mr. Premadasa said this in his May Day message, “The entire labour community including, fishermen, estate workers, teachers and those in the transportation sector have been adversely affected by the pandemic. The time has come for everyone to help each other.
Many working people have been rendered jobless. Those who render their services putting their lives at risk have been neglected by the rulers. National resources are being sold out while suppression of political opponents are underway. The workers, entrepreneurs and general public have been affected by this.
May Day has to be commemorated in such a situation. We pay tribute to all workers today.

Agree. Plagues like Covid can send all out of control. Helping each other and not robbing is the only way to live in this world in peace. Divisions bring chaos but unity helps share vaccines.
