Subjects and institutions coming under the purview of Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe were removed following his own advice, UNP MP Ajith P Perera said today.
"Subjects and institutions that are coming under the purview of Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe were removed following his own advice and it is a part of government's plan to go on a new journey," State Minister Perera said at a media briefing this morning.
"We have decided to go on a new journey together with President Sirisena from April 5 2018 and everyone will be able to see the changes we are going to make,"he added
Responding to a question raised by the journalists as to how the UNP could go along with President Sirisena when difference between the latter and former are growing, the State Minister said there will be no issue on that as Mr. Sirisena was UNP's candidate at the last Presidential Election. "President Sirisena is our President," he sad.(Yohan Perera)

Minister need not try and make excuses for his PM. That is demeaning. Let us see how this 'new journey' works out. so far progressively Sri Lanka's assets have been sold to foreign nations.
