Steps would be taken to provide relief packages through the Sathosa outlets in order to provide relief to consumers during the upcoming Sinhala/Tamil New Year, Trade Minister Bandula Gunawardena said.
A relief package with ten essential food items could be bought from Sathosa outlets at a cost of Rs. 1,000 from April 1, Minister Gunawardena said.
Accordingly, the relief package will include essential food items such as Rice, flour, sugar, dhal, sprats etc.
"We will provide this package on behalf of the Sinhala/Tamil New Year, we want to make this a year prosperous and reduce the people's hardships," the Minister added. (Chaturanga Samarawickrama)
