President Maithripala Sirisena in a twitter message congratulated newly elected US President Donald J Trump today.
“My warm congratulations to US president-elect Donald J. Trump on this historic victory,” the tweet said.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe said Mr. Trump’s path to white house has indeed been truly remarkable. “We look forward to working closely with you and your team,” he said.
